600 m² optimally protected by 2K-HS hard wax oil: Bodendeko Behnke laid around 600 m² of mosaic parquet in the dining and music rooms of the Goethe High School in Schwerin. The solid oak was protected by the highly resistant and quick-drying OLI-NATURA 2K-HS Hard Wax Oil. The surface protection was fully cured within 24 hours, and its superior characteristics now ensure that the wooden floor can survive thousands of footsteps for years without damage.

Fully hardened within 24 hours: Speed was of the essence for the location. In addition to time-saving processing periods, the focus was on ensuring that the floor would be available quickly. Craftsmen and labourers were programmed to carry out later work according to a very tight schedule. Highly robust, durable and easy-to-clean surface protection was also important to the client. At the same time it was necessary to positively influence the ambient climate, since the sensitive musical instruments react significantly to changes in moisture levels. If the assembly and dismantling operations for a concert or the movement of a grand piano left scratches on the floor, repairs to the surface would need to be possible at any time. All of these requirements were met by OLI-NATURA 2K-HS Hard Wax Oil.

Once applied - lasting protection: Parquet expert Stefan Behnke mixed the hardener with the high-solid hard wax oil just before beginning the treatment of the freshly laid flooring. The covered surface was fully usable within 24 hours. 40 grammes of oil per square metre proved sufficient to cover the oak flooring treated. The processing window of 60 minutes for surface cleaning was absolutely correct for the large area. For the final polishing of the surface, the flooring specialist used a rotary disc machine with a felt pad.
