The product
OLI-AQUA PRO M 18.10 | 1K multi-coat varnish has a high fullness level, spreads evenly, is fast drying, has good blocking resistance, and a high stability level. The material is free of microfoam. A turbidity effect, which reduces the gloss and causes restrictions on dark woods, can therefore be prevented. The varnish is in a medium viscosity range and can therefore be used with airless/airmix systems a beaker-gun and spraying automats. Forced drying or IR drying are both possible. OLI-AQUA PRO M 18.10 offers strong resistance to creams, in addition to a good softening resistance in comparison with standard PVC sealants. It suits the requirements for IOS-MAT-0066 R 4 that are required by IKEA for residential and office furniture and the MÖBELFAKTA standard cat. 2.

Surface preparation:
- Graduated wooden sanding with grit size 150/180. The finer the sanding, the less the wood will roughen.
- The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned, and free of oil, wax, grease, silicon and sanding dust.
- Woods rich in resin and active substances such as pine, tropical woods (limba, teak, wenge) should be stripped before being coated with a 2K varnish (e.g. OLI-AQUA MODU T). This also applies to MDF edges and profiles, to minimise the possibility of swelling in high humidity conditions.
Setup recommendations:
- Prime material with approx. 100-120 g/m²
- After 2 hours of drying, carry out interim sanding with grain size 240.
- Final coating with approx. 100-120 g/m²
