Oil-Wax combination for the basic treatment of wood furniture, wooden stairs and wooden floors indoors. In colourless.
Here we present our "Hard Wax Oil", which was awarded the "Allergy Friendly Quality Tested" seal by the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) in 2017. Shortly thereafter, it received LFGB certification (food safe) from an independent testing laboratory. This is why it can be used without hesitation on wood surfaces that come into contact with food.
The hard wax oil is recommended for almost all wood projects, but also for cork, bamboo, OSB and multiplex boards. It is one of our best-selling oils and is used throughout furniture and interior wood finishing as well as camper finishing. Whether for wood or frame furniture, tables, wall paneling, doors, hardwood floors or stairs.
The film-forming impregnation consists of modified vegetable oils and waxes such as soybean oil and refined carnauba wax. The oil penetrates the wood and the wax forms a thin surface film. To ensure that it is quickly and easily absorbed into the wood, we also add mild and dearomatized isoparaffinic hydrocarbons.
On the wood, the hard wax oil shows a subtle depth of color and the processing is simple: Apply the oil thinly with a pad, cotton cloth, brush, roller or sponge, let it soak in briefly and remove any excess. In this way, the hard wax oil forms an even and silky glossy surface. For a more matt appearance, the wet hard wax oil is simply polished out using a polishing pad. The solid content is 60%, which is why a single application is perfectly sufficient for wooden objects subject to normal wear. Floors, stairs or tabletops, on the other hand, require more protection. A second application is recommended here.

10 L, 2,5 L, 1 L, 0,25 L
1-2 x with approx. 40-50 ml/m² (1 litre = approx. 20-25 m² per coat) (depending on the application area and absorptivity of the substrate)
Microfiber roller (5 mm), oil brush, broad brush, flat brush or spray gun, and white pad
Application:
Sand wood surface carefully, start with coarse sanding, final sanding for furniture P180-240, for floors P100-150. Wood moisture: 8-12%. The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free of oil, wax, grease, silicone and sanding dust. Apply material at room temperature and shake/stir well.
Furniture:
Floors:
Consumption: 1-2 coats I Depending on the absorbency of the wood, 40-50 g/m² per coat (20-25 m²/l).
Drying: Depending on humidity/temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully cured after 2-3 days. Protect from water during this time.
Shelf life: At least 36 months if unopened.
Cleaning brushes and tools: For cleaning, we recommend our environmentally friendly OLI-NATURA Brush Cleaner or our OLI-NATURA Oil Thinner.
Notes: Cloths, pads or wood dust soaked with oil can spontaneously ignite due to heat build-up, therefore please clean immediately after use or store underwater.
The OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil is not pigmented. Nevertheless, the inherent colour and grain of the wood are discreetly emphasised, which is often desired with light woods such as spruce, pine, maple, ash or hornbeam.
The oiled wood surface feels pleasantly warm and velvety-soft. The effect is rounded off when the oil is buffed into the wood with a white pad. This gives the surface a noticeably natural mattness. Without polishing, the surface appears slightly shinier.
Note: The colour tone of an oiled object depends on several factors: On the type and texture of the wood, on the basic tone of the wood as well as on the wood sanding and the individual working method of the user.
Colors:Nature/uncoloured
Only a few care measures are sufficient to keep the surface in a permanently beautiful condition. Dust deposits, for example, are simply wiped off with a dry, possibly damp cloth.
Parquet floors, on the other hand, should be vacuumed or swept daily as sand and dust can cause fine scratches. Sticky dirt can be quickly removed with a mild "OLI-NATURA Wood Soap". It is important to avoid over-moisture and standing moisture.
From time to time, the wood treated with hard wax oil should be given a refreshing treatment with "OLI-NATURA Wood Care Wax". In this way the protective effect is renewed and slight scratches are compensated. After such a treatment the wood is antistatic and therefore attracts less dust.
In addition, the surface treated with hard wax oil can be easily reworked. The area in question can be partially sanded and treated without having to renovate the entire surface.
