WATER PROOF PARQUET

PARQUET flooring in damp and wet environments has been problematic for a long time. The joint areas between the individual parquet blocks are especially crucial. Border areas in particular are vulnerable and do not provide sufficient protection against moisture penetration. This design from hüma elegantly solves the problem. The entire hüma product line features a waterproof rubber seal between the parquet elements, which is applied to the blocks using injection moulding. Injection moulding is also used to equip the parquet with an innovative form of joint geometry: the hüma SNAPCON.

Water-resistant surface treatment
The hüma HYDRO PARQUET product line with its oiled surfaces represents the majority of overall production. A very high-quality OLI-NATURA oil system, developed especially for hüma, is used to impregnate the real wood parquet. This ensures a particularly water-resistant surface and makes it durable and easy to clean. At the same time it offers optimum workability on industrial rolling mills. Besides online application, the main strong point of this treatment lies in its rapid drying speed, which allows non-aligned packing immediately after application with a roller. Just one application produces an exceptionally durable and very elegant premium quality surface.
