Ultra-Matte 2K Parquet Lacquer with a Natural Raw Wood Effect
OLI-AQUA AUTHENTIC 51.30 is a water-based two-component parquet lacquer (2K) for parquet and wood floors that should look as natural and untreated as possible. It combines an ultra-matte, raw-wood-like appearance and feel with durable surface protection.
Natural wood character: Minimal color enhancement helps preserve the original wood tone. AUTHENTIC is especially suitable for light-colored woods such as oak. The surface resists becoming glossy and showing traffic marks, and offers high mechanical durability and good chemical resistance.
Areas of use: Suitable for high-quality living spaces, commercial and public areas subject to heavier use, and renovating permanently installed indoor wooden stairs. Its R10 slip resistance has been verified in the tested system build-up.
Application as a 2K system: OLI-AQUA AUTHENTIC 51.30 is applied with OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2 at a ratio of 10 parts lacquer to 1 part Hardener. For individual containers, the Hardener must be ordered separately; it is included in the sets.
Gloss level: Ultra-matte.
If you want a different gloss level and do not require a specific raw wood effect, OLI-AQUA STANDARD 15.50 and OLI-AQUA TOP 51.20 are available in extra-matte, matte, and semi-matte finishes. STANDARD can be used as either a 1K or 2K system; TOP is a 2K parquet seal for the highest levels of wear.

Application of OLI-AQUA AUTHENTIC 51.30
Prepare the substrate
The substrate must be dry, sound, professionally sanded and free of old coatings, oil, grease, wax, silicone, care product residues and sanding dust. When renovating, completely remove existing coatings and care product residues.
Sand the wood in stages using grits 80/100/120. A uniform final sanding with grit 120 supports a homogeneous raw wood effect. Then remove dust thoroughly.
The visual effect depends on the wood species, its natural color, sanding and amount applied. A test area is recommended, especially for unfamiliar woods or woods rich in natural substances.
Three coats without primer
OLI-AQUA AUTHENTIC 51.30 is applied in three roller coats directly to the sanded raw wood For a uniform appearance, apply all three coats with AUTHENTIC.
Do not prime with OLI-AQUA PRIME 15.81: PRIME enhances the wood's natural color and therefore diminishes the desired raw wood effect.
Mix lacquer and Hardener
Stir or shake the base lacquer thoroughly. Then thoroughly mix 10 parts OLI-AQUA AUTHENTIC 51.30 with 1 part OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2 and let it stand for ten minutes before application.
Prepare partial quantities only while strictly observing the mixing ratio. Use the mixed material within its pot life of approximately three hours. Do not pour excess material back into the original container.
Apply evenly with a roller
AUTHENTIC: apply by rolling only, do not spread with a trowel. Apply evenly, wet-on-wet, using the OLI water-based lacquer roller. Avoid lap marks and material buildup. Work from a clean application tray and do not pour the lacquer directly onto the floor.
A milky haze may be visible during application. It will disappear once fully dry.
Allow sufficient drying time between coats. Apply no more than two full-surface coats of lacquer per day. Ensure good air circulation and avoid drafts and direct sunlight.
Coverage and application conditions
- Coverage: approx. 8–10 m²/l per coat.
- Application quantity: first coat approx. 100 g/m², subsequent coats approx. 120 g/m².
- Room, floor and material temperature: ideally +15 to +25 °C.
- Relative humidity: 40–75 %.
- Wood moisture content: maximum 12%.
- Application tool: OLI water-based lacquer roller, microfiber, 11 mm pile height.
Drying and intermediate sanding
Can be recoated and sanded between coats after approx. two to three hours at +20 °C and 50% relative humidity. Within 24 hours, another coat can be applied without intermediate sanding. After that, intermediate sanding with 120–150 grit is required. Then remove all sanding dust.
- Carefully walkable: after approx. 5–6 hours.
- Limited load-bearing capacity: after approx. 12 hours.
- Full load-bearing capacity: after approx. 8–10 days.
Low temperatures, high humidity, heavy application and poor air circulation prolong drying. Clean tools with water immediately after use. Refer to the latest technical data sheet and safety data sheets.
Cleaning and maintaining the raw wood effect
Treat the freshly sealed surface gently during the initial curing phase. With the standard system using OLI-AQUA AUTHENTIC 51.30, damp cleaning and initial care are possible no sooner than seven days after application.
Regular cleaning
For routine cleaning, we recommend OLI AQUA parquet cleaner 15.94. It removes dirt, footprints, and grease without leaving a care film.
Vacuum or sweep up loose dirt beforehand. Then damp-mop with 50 ml per 10 liters of water using a barely damp mop. Avoid standing water.
Care of the ultra-matte surface
For initial care and subsequent maintenance, follow the current OLI care instructions for sealed wood floors. The care product must be suitable for the ultra-matte AUTHENTIC surface to maintain the desired appearance.
Deep cleaning when needed
For stubborn dirt or old care films, OLI AQUA intensive cleaner 15.97 can be used in accordance with its instructions.
