Protect wood. Preserve its raw wood character with OLI-AQUA NORDIC.
OLI-AQUA NORDIC 18.40 is a water-based 1K/2K raw wood effect lacquer for indoor wood surfaces.
Do you like wood as it looks when freshly sanded - natural and without visible lacquer gloss? The raw wood effect lacquer preserves this character and protects the surface in everyday use. The almost invisible, dead-matte finish makes solid wood and veneers look largely untreated. Color and grain remain the focus - ideal for furniture, cabinets, doors, kitchen fronts and stairs.
Particularly easy to apply: You only need one product for the primer and topcoat. The wood lacquer dries quickly, is easy to sand and can be brushed, rolled or sprayed. Two coats with intermediate sanding produce the finished surface. A test application on the original wood shows you the effect in advance - especially on dark or dark-stained wood.
Optional with Hardener: For higher chemical and mechanical resistance, you can add 10 % OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2. The mixing ratio by volume is 10 parts lacquer : 1 part Hardener. Application instructions can be found in the technical data sheet.
Relevant for stairs: The tested 1K and 2K coatings achieve slip resistance class R10.

Preparation: The wood must be dry, clean and free of oil, wax, grease and silicone. Sand with P150–180 and remove all dust thoroughly. Test-apply to the original wood, especially on dark or dark-stained surfaces.
Preparing the product: Stir the lacquer thoroughly. Do not apply below +15 °C . The optimal conditions are +20 °C and 50% relative humidity.
Optional, with Hardener: Mix 10 parts lacquer with 1 part OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2 by volume thoroughly. Before applying, let stand for 10 minutes . Pot life: 3 hours. Do not pour mixed leftovers back into the original container.
Application: Apply the lacquer evenly along the grain using a brush, roller or spray gun. After approx. 1.5 hours of drying, sand between coats: by hand when brushing, using P220–280, and when spraying, using P240. Remove all dust thoroughly and apply the second coat.
Coverage: When brushing, 80–100 g/m² per coat, corresponding to approx. 10–12 m²/l. When spraying, 100–120 g/m², corresponding to approx. 8–10 m²/l. Apply two coats.
Drying: Dust-dry after approx. 45 minutes, can be sanded and recoated after approx. 1.5 hours, stackable after approx. 16 hours. Low temperatures, poor air circulation and high humidity will extend drying time.
