Greater durability for furniture and doors. OLI-CRYL Hardener 11.4 is the Hardener component for the solvent-based OLI-CRYL spray lacquers listed below. Through cross-linking, it increases the chemical and mechanical resistance of the lacquer surface - especially for heavily used furniture and doors.
One Hardener, one mixing ratio: For all three approved system products, mix 10 parts base lacquer with 1 part Hardener by volume. This makes dosing and processing easier in everyday work.
Suitable for:
-
OLI-CRYL 25.50 | 1K+2K multilayer lacquer
-
OLI-CRYL 40.55 | 1K+2K color lacquer
-
OLI-CRYL 40.40 | 1K+2K filler/insulating filler
Container sizes and dosage:
-
250 ml Hardener for 2.5 liters of base lacquer
-
1 liter Hardener for 10 liters of base lacquer
-
3 liters Hardener for 30 liters of base lacquer
The Hardener contains less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers. Additional diisocyanate training is therefore not required. For professional use only.
TESTING STANDARDS
- Formula free from: toxic heavy metals, halogenated hydrocarbons (CKW, FCKW), polychlorinated biphenyls and terphenyls (PCB + PCT), pentachlorophenol (PCP), and formaldehyde.
- The product contains less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers and may therefore be used without additional training.
Mixing: Add OLI-CRYL Hardener 11.4 to the basecoat while stirring immediately before application, and mix thoroughly until homogeneous. The mixing ratio is 10 parts basecoat : 1 part Hardener by volume. This corresponds to 10 percent by volume Hardener, based on the basecoat. Mix only the amount needed.
Induction time: Allow the mixture to stand before application for approx. 10 minutes.
Application: The pot life for the system products listed is a maximum of 8 hours. Follow the product-specific information in the basecoat technical data sheet. The end of the pot life cannot be determined by a change in viscosity. Surface preparation, application, and drying depend on the respective basecoat.
Equipment cleaning: Rinse tools immediately after use with OLI-PUR Thinner V15 . Dispose of cleaning residues properly.
Important: Do not allow mixed paint residues to cure in closed containers, and do not pour them back into the original container. The Hardener is sensitive to moisture: seal the container tightly immediately after each use. Refer to the latest safety data sheets for the basecoat and Hardener.

Which lacquers is OLI-CRYL Hardener 11.4 suitable for?
For OLI-CRYL 25.50 multilayer lacquer, OLI-CRYL 40.55 color lacquer and OLI-CRYL 40.40 surfacer/insulating surfacer. Use only with these approved base lacquers.
What does adding the hardener do?
It increases the chemical and mechanical resistance of the lacquer surface through cross-linking. The Hardener is especially recommended for heavily used furniture and doors.
How much Hardener should I add?
The mixing ratio is 10:1 by volume. For 1 liter of base lacquer, you need 100 ml of Hardener, for 2.5 liters of base lacquer, 250 ml of Hardener.
How long can I use the mixture?
After adding the hardener, the pot life is a maximum of 8 hours. Refer to the technical data sheet for the base lacquer in question. Even if the lacquer still appears liquid, its pot life may already have expired.
Is additional diisocyanate training required?
No. OLI-CRYL Hardener 11.4 contains less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers. The required protective measures and Safety Information still apply.
How should I store the Hardener?
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, protected from moisture, heat and direct sunlight. In its unopened original container, it has a shelf life of 6 months. Reseal opened containers tightly immediately after each use and use up the contents as soon as possible.
