OLI-AQUA DOMO 15.40 – 1K parquet lacquer

Applying OLI-AQUA DOMO 15.40

Preparing the substrate

The substrate must be dry, sound, properly sanded and free of old coatings, oil, grease, wax, silicone, care product residues and sanding dust. When renovating, completely remove existing coatings and care product residues.

Sand the wood in stages using 80/100/120 grit, then thoroughly remove all dust. On unfamiliar or resinous woods and challenging substrates, apply a test area.

Choosing the coating system

• With primer: Apply one coat of OLI-AQUA PRIME 15.81, followed by two coats of OLI-AQUA DOMO 15.40.
• Without primer: Apply three coats of OLI-AQUA DOMO 15.40.

OLI-AQUA PRIME 15.81 is recommended for challenging parquet constructions, plank floors, renovated floors and parquet over underfloor heating. The primer reduces edge bonding and the risk of visible lap marks.

Apply ready to use

Stir or shake OLI-AQUA DOMO 15.40 thoroughly before use. Stir occasionally during extended application. Do not add Hardener or dilute.

Apply evenly, wet on wet, using the OLI water-based lacquer roller. Avoid lap marks and excess product. Work from a clean application tray and do not pour the lacquer directly onto the floor.

Allow to dry sufficiently between coats. Do not apply more than two full-area primer or lacquer coats per day. Ensure good air circulation and avoid drafts and direct sunlight.

Coverage and application conditions

• Coverage: approx. 8–10 m²/l per coat.
• Application rate: first coat approx. 100 g/m², subsequent coats approx. 120 g/m².
• Room, floor and material temperature: ideally +15 to +25 °C.
• Relative humidity: 40–75 %.
• Wood moisture content: max. 12%.
• Application tool: OLI water-based lacquer roller, microfiber, 11 mm pile height.

Drying and intermediate sanding

Can be recoated and sanded between coats after approx. two to three hours at +20 °C and 50% relative humidity. Within 24 hours, it can be recoated without intermediate sanding

Treat the freshly sealed surface gently during the initial curing phase. With the standard system using OLI-AQUA DOMO 15.40, damp cleaning and initial care are possible no earlier than eight to ten days . Do not cover the floor until it has fully cured.

Regular cleaning

For regular cleaning, we recommend OLI AQUA Parquet Cleaner 15.94. It removes dirt, footprints, and greasy stains without leaving a care film. Vacuum or sweep up loose dirt beforehand. Then wipe with 50 ml per 10 liters of water using a barely damp mop. Avoid leaving standing water.

Initial care and refreshing

OLI AQUA Parquet Care 15.95 forms an additional protective care film and makes regular cleaning easier. It is suitable for initial care and for refreshing worn surfaces. Available in Matt and Glossto match the desired appearance.

Deep cleaning as needed

For stubborn dirt or old care films, we recommend OLI AQUA intensive cleaner 15.97. It removes stubborn residue and prepares the floor for another care treatment.
